Blow Drying Tips from a Hairstylist

If your hair dryer has different settings for heat and speed, that is great.

For Drying hair with your blow dryer:
Use the heat on medium to low, and high speed. Victoria Principle was right, way back in the day. Blow drying your hair upside down does give you more volume at the root. This is a good time to add a little gel or mousse. Be sure to work it through so there's no clumps.

For Styling hair with your blow dryer:
Use the heat on the high setting and low to medium speed.
This helps your brush act like a curling iron. Hold the brush in place for a few seconds after using the dryer, letting the hair cool on the brush. This will help set the shape.
